Our Director General
Jean-Pierre Gauvin, MSc.A., CIH , ROH , EP, (R)CRPA is certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene , Canadian Registry Board of Occupational Hygienists and the Canadian Bureau for recognition of environmental specialists. He has chaired the Canadian Registration Board of Occupational Hygienists. For more than 25 years he has been a regular author at the journal Travail et Santé, a quarterly journal devoted to health and safety. He is Adjunct Professor at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University. He is active in various technical committees on Air Quality, Radioprotection, Prevention of Nosocomial Infections, Development of Quality Assurance Programs and has made numerous conferences on those aspects.
Jean-Pierre Gauvin has been Vice -President of the International Radioprotection Association , an international organization bringing together 15 000 members. He has chaired the Canadian Radiation Protection Association and the Montreal Foundation for radioprotection, a group responsible for administering international aid funds in radioprotection.
He has a long experience of risk assessment in all sectors of economic activity, whether industrial, commercial, institutional, high technology research, production processes, transport and storage.
As a certified professional in environment (EP), Certified Industrial Hygienist by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (CIH ), the Canadian Registry Board of Occupational Hygienists (ROH) and Registered Radiation Safety Professional (R)CRPA he adheres to a strict code of ethics.
